EMISSION explores the visible and invisible traces produced by the systems people build.
The theme welcomes documentary, conceptual, abstract and experimental approaches to architecture, infrastructure, industry, energy, transport, construction and public space.
Photographers are invited to interpret emission broadly - as smoke, steam, exhaust, light, heat, sound, residue, movement or any other trace released by human-made environments.
The photograph should demonstrate a meaningful relationship with both the theme and the built environment.
There is no division between documentary and conceptual photography. All eligible works are considered together within a single award.
