By submitting work to Mono Orbit Awards, participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Eligibility
Mono Orbit Awards is open to photographers worldwide.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submission.
Employees, organisers, jury members and their immediate family members may not enter the award.
2. Categories
Each edition of Mono Orbit Awards is built around a specific announced theme.
Photographs may be submitted to one of the following categories:
Documentary
Photography based on observation of real environments, places and structures.
Conceptual
Photography based on interpretation, symbolism or artistic investigation of the built environment.
3. Submission Requirements
Each entry consists of one photograph.
Multiple entries are permitted.
Each photograph requires a separate submission and entry fee.
Submitted work must be the original work of the participant.
The participant must own all necessary rights to the submitted photograph.
Submitted photographs must meet the following specifications:
Monochrome photography only
JPG format
Dimensions: max 3072 × 1620 px
Maximum file size: max 8 MB
Colour space: sRGB
4. Entry Fee
The entry fee is €20 per photograph.
Entry fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Monochrome Photography
Mono Orbit Awards accepts monochrome photography only.
Colour photographs are not eligible.
6. AI Policy
Mono Orbit Awards is dedicated to photography.
AI-generated images are not eligible.
Images created wholly or substantially using generative artificial intelligence tools are not permitted.
Standard photographic post-processing is allowed.
The organisers reserve the right to request original files, RAW files or additional documentation to verify authenticity.
Participants may also be required to sign an authorship declaration.
Failure to provide requested materials may result in disqualification.
7. Copyright
Photographers retain full copyright of their work.
Submission does not transfer ownership of copyright to Mono Orbit Awards.
8. Licence to Publish
By entering the award, participants grant Mono Orbit Awards a non-exclusive licence to publish submitted photographs in connection with:
Award promotion
Exhibition and presentation of results
Social media communication
Newsletters
Press releases
Editorial and educational content related to the award
Photographer credit will be provided whenever reasonably possible.
9. Judging
All entries are reviewed after the submission period closes.
The decisions of the jury are final.
No correspondence regarding judging decisions will be entered into.
10. Disqualification
The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that:
Violates these Terms & Conditions
Contains false or misleading information
Infringes copyright or intellectual property rights
Includes AI-generated content
Fails authenticity verification requirements
11. Liability
Participants remain solely responsible for the content they submit.
Mono Orbit Awards accepts no responsibility for copyright disputes, third-party claims or losses arising from participation in the award.
12. Changes
The organisers reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
Any updates will be published on the Mono Orbit Awards website.
